A reliable self-fertile variety! The fruits are medium to large and plants begin bearing fruit at an early age. Very prolific variety with excellent flavored fruit.
Latin Name: Acca sellowiana ‘Unique’ (Pineapple Guava)
Site and Soil: Well-drained soil, preferably sandy loam. Pineapple guava is adaptable to various soil types. Full sun to partial shade.
Bearing age: Plants will produce fruit in 2-3 years.
Rootstock: Grafted onto pineapple guava rootstock.
Size at Maturity: Medium to large shrub or small tree, typically reaching 8-15 feet in height.
Bloom time: Late spring to early summer.
Pollination Requirement: While pineapple guava is capable of self-pollination, having multiple plants can enhance fruit production.
