Persimmon Tree (Giant Fuyu)

This Giant Fuyu variety is a popular cultivar. Larger, not as flat as Fuyu but crunchy when ripe like Fuyu. Sweet, flavorful, non-astringent. Easy to grow, cool or hot climates. Hardy and productive tree with glossy, ornamental foliage. Hardy to zone 7 and requires at least 200 chill hours below 45F. The giant Fuyu is self-fertile and fruit ripens mid-season in October-early November.
