Mandarin (Okitsu Wase Satsuma)

Description

Similar to the Owari satsuma, this variety is cold hardy to low teens or zone 8. They are the earliest ripening variety of mandarin, ripening in October but will continue to ripen and sweeten on the tree until December. This variety is sweet, thin skinned and seedless. Like most citrus this plant prefers; half to full day sun light, well-draining, coarse soil and is self-fertile.
