Fig Tree (LSU Scott’s Black)

LSU Scott’s Black fig is another variety bred by Louisiana State University. This fig is known for its deep purple skin and strawberry-pink flesh. It produces small-to-medium sized figs with a berry-molasses flavor. Plant in full sun, in well drained soil. Scott’s Black is self-fertile, and at maturity is 12-15 feet in height.
