Description
Ramsey is a productive New Zealand feijoa variety valued for its vigorous growth, reliable yields, and well-balanced, aromatic fruit. Though not as widely marketed as some modern cultivars, Ramsey has been a longtime favorite among growers who appreciate strong plant vigor and dependable annual harvests. A notable feature of Ramsey is its consistently high fruit set—home growers often comment that even younger plants bear heavily once established.
The fruit has classic feijoa sweetness with a bright, tropical fragrance, making it excellent for fresh eating, smoothies, or preserving. As with all pineapple guavas, Ramsey is evergreen and ornamental, producing striking red-and-white flowers in late spring.
