Minneola is a tangelo, a hybrid of Duncan grapefruit and Dancy mandarin, sometimes marketed under the name Honeybell. Deep reddish-orange colored fruit in winter. Bell-shaped fruit is a mandarin-grapefruit cross. In many locations, wait to harvest until spring for juicy, sweet tangerine flavor. This variety is for the fruit explorer. Cross-pollination recommended for regular and heavy production. Dancy, Clementine, and Kinnow mandarins appear to be satisfactory pollinators.
