Fremont Mandarin is a cross between Clementine mandarin x Ponkan mandarin. Flesh color is deep orange and juicy with good rich mandarin flavor. An Early ripening variety with fruit that can hang on the tree and maintain its quality past maturity. Tree moderately vigorous, upright-growing, nearly thornless, and very productive! Cold hardiness most likely similar to Clementine roughly 26-28 F.
