Jujube (Chico)

Different from other jujubes, this variety is rounded with a flat bottom, like a tiny apple. The taste is sweet with a crisp, light texture. Pick this fruit when its skin has almost completely turned brown. This tasty jujube gets its name from the Chico institute in California, where it was originally developed.
