The Cocktail grapefruit is actually a unique cross between Frua mandarin and Siamese Sweet Pummelo. The product is a delicious, low acid fruit that has a unique flavor many have grown to love. Its high juice content also makes this a great fruit for juicing. The blossoms on this tree are exceptional in their fragrance- divine.

Latin Name: Citrus paradisi ‘Cocktail’
Site and Soil: Well-drained soil; prefers sandy to loamy soil; full sun; adaptable to various soil types.
Bearing age: Will produce fruit right away.
Rootstock: Our 1-gallon citrus plants are grafted onto Flying Dragon rootstock, a cold-hardy and ultra-dwarfing rootstock, 5-8 feet when mature. All other sizes of citrus are grafted onto c-35, another dwarfing rootstock that is a little more vigorous than Flying Dragon.
Size at Maturity: 5-8 feet when grown in a pot, 10-12 feet when grown in the ground.
Bloom time: Spring.
Pollination Requirement: Typically self-pollinating, but cross-pollination may increase fruit set.
Ripening Time: Late fall to early spring.
Yield: Produces a high yield of tangy and flavorful grapefruits.
Pests and Diseases: Susceptible to pests like aphids and diseases such as citrus canker; regular monitoring and appropriate care are essential.
