Description
Seedless Blue Muscat is the grape we reach for when someone wants flavor first. The berries are dark blue, sweet and juicy, but the thing that makes the variety stand out is the aroma: a full muscat fragrance that shows up before the fruit even reaches your mouth.
The vine is the Cornell selection NY 65.483.2, an interspecific hybrid that has circulated under the Seedless Blue Muscat trade name. It also has an interesting family connection in our collection: it is the seed parent of Monastery Muscat.
Give it real sun and a permanent support. In warm-summer regions it is straightforward; in cool maritime summers it benefits from the warmest exposure you can give it. We still love the grape enough to grow it, but around Puget Sound it is not the first vine we recommend when reliable ripening is the only goal.

Additional Notes
- 🌿 Grower’s Insight: This is one of our absolute favorite grapes at Restoring Eden. The flavor is why we keep coming back to it.
- 🌿 Regional Insight: It is a strong choice in regions with a warm, sunny summer. In cool maritime climates, use a south- or west-facing exposure or another heat-holding microclimate to help the crop finish.
