LSU Gold fig is another release from the LSU Agriculture Center fig program with good cold tolerance. It is a fast grower and heavy producer of large figs. The skin is light-yellow, with a pink-to-light red flesh. The fruit is fairly sweet and honey-flavored. LSU Gold will reach between 8 and15 feet in height at maturity. It is self-fertile.
