Hazelnut Tree (Polly O)

Named for Polly Owen, who had a long career in the Oregon Hazelnut industry, PollyO was bred for the blanched kernel market. It is the preferred variety for the chocolate industry because of its flavor and aromas. PollyO will cross pollinate with Wepster and McDonald, and likely many other varieties of Hazelnut so long as the bloom time overlaps. Very resistant to Eastern Filbert Blight
