Fig Tree (White Marseilles)

For what it’s worth this fig variety was Thomas Jefferson’s favorite and was grown by him in Virginia. Its easy too see why this variety was loved by him, the fruit is large with a bright yellow skin, pink flesh and is deliciously sweet! The first figs ripen early in the season with the harvest able to continue over a 6-week period. Very similar to other Italian varieties like the Lattarula and Italian Honey it is a great addition to the fig collection! Hardy to zone 6.
