Red Flesh Apple (Firecracker)

Firecracker which is also known as Bill’s Red Flesh Crab is a delightful sparkling jewel of an apple. Firecracker™ looks like a miniature Red Delicious, but has bright red flesh and tangy flavor. This unique and attractive crabapple is a naturally compact and easy-to-grow tree. According to at least one article the flavor is said to be, “a mix of cherry and grapefruit with hints of tannins, nuts, and a bit of black pepper, which is likely how it acquired the moniker, Firecracker”.
