Evergreen Huckleberry (Cascade Jewel)

Description

‘Cascade Jewel’ is a standout evergreen huckleberry with thicker, more rigid stems that create a structured, upright form. Its dense, compact growth reduces floppiness while maintaining vigorous growth with minimal pruning. Eye-catching deep red new foliage gives way to abundant white, urn-shaped flowers in spring, followed by glossy purple-black berries in summer. Drought and salt tolerant, it thrives in acidic, moist, well-drained soils and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies while being deer resistant. Grows to 3′ wide by 3.5′ tall. Hardy in zones 7–9.
