Citrumelo is a hardy variety that’s been crossed between a trifoliate orange and a grapefruit. The yellow fruit is shiny, smooth and almost 4 inches in diameter when ripe! It can withstand temperatures to low teens, or zone 8 but we recommend keeping it protected late fall through winter when frosts set in. Like most citrus this plant prefers; half to full day sun light, well-draining, coarse soil and is self-fertile.
