Bing is the benchmark sweet cherry — rich, dark, firm, and deeply flavorful. It was introduced in Oregon in the 1870s by nurseryman Seth Lewelling and named after his Chinese orchard foreman, Ah Bing, whose work helped shape one of the most famous cherries in the world.
